NAME: Aribella GENDER: She-cat AGE: 1 year 6 months RESIDENCE: Wilderness
APPEARANCE:
PELT COLOR: Black MARKINGS: Large and varied white patches all along her body PELT LENGTH: Medium EYE COLOR: Light blue BUILD: Tall and muscular OTHER: ---
PERSONALITY:
Aribella is a mentally and physically strong cat. She can certainly handle the tough life of a wild cat, and isn’t gullible or weak-minded like her sister. Ari is stubborn and independent, refusing help from any cat and preferring to live life on her own. She doesn’t pay much mind to toms, not exactly wanting to start a family after her bad experience with one, and so she lives a single life. Sure, she has toms flirt and approach her all the time, but she simply ignores them and snaps at them if they get too persistent. Most toms around the area have pretty much learned to avoid this she-cat. She’s also quite impatient, whether it be with other cats or while waiting for some prey to she itself. Ari lives a quick life, and doesn’t have time to sit around waiting or to deal with ignorance.
While Aribella had once been a bit sweeter and more outgoing as a kit, her mother’s sudden abandonment turned her a bit colder and more withdrawn. While she still shares a friendly word with her brother whenever they come across each other, she still isn’t exactly the sweet kit she once was. She lives life with a loner-like attitude now. Deep down, though, she still is a follower. Just like how she followed her mother as a kit, or her brother after they were alone together. She keeps this bit of her shoved deep down, but she still has this very small desire to lean on someone and simply let them take charge. It would take a skilled cat to bring this side out, though, as she certainly hides it with her outside cold and independent attitude. RELATIONSHIPS:
MOTHER: Lola – {calico she-cat with green eyes; alive; wilderness} OPEN FATHER: Bullet – {black tom with blue eyes; deceased} SIBLINGS: Ty- {black tom with green eyes; alive; wilderness} OPEN Abigail – {calico she-cat with blue eyes; alive; wilderness/city} Silvery CRUSH/MATE: --- OTHER: ---
HISTORY:
Lola was the kind of she-cat who knew who she was and what she wanted. She was strong and wouldn’t hesitate to use her looks to get her way. So when she decided she wanted to have kits, she had absolutely no problem going out and finding someone to father them. She had to be picky, though, and while there were many toms who would have loved to mate with her, she needed someone perfect. These were going to be her children, after all, and they needed good traits from their father, not just her. When she came across Bullet, she knew he was the one. He was large and powerful, and quite a handsome fellow with lovely blue eyes. It was no problem to get him to mate with her, and she quickly found herself pregnant. But Lola wasn’t interested in having a family and raising the kits with Bullet, so she quickly ditched him and continued on with her life. She later heard from another wild cat that her ex-mate had been attacked and killed by a coyote, but she felt no sadness or remorse at the news. She had gotten what she wanted from him, so why should she feel bad about his death?
While pregnant, Lola didn’t exactly take it easy. She still ran around, still hunted, still led her normal daily life. She didn’t really think to change her lifestyle, and her kits were born small because of her actions. Luckily she produced more than enough milk for the trio of kittens, so they grew quickly to make up for their small beginnings. Her litter consisted of two she-cats and a tom. Little Ty had the handsome black fur of his father, while Abigail had the calico coat of her mother. Aribella seemed to just be a mixture of both parents. Right from the start, Aribella and her brother were favored, opening their eyes first and seeming to show promise to become big and strong. Abigail was a bit weaker, pushed around by her siblings and not opening her eyes until later. Aribella grew swiftly with her brother, able to grab more milk than their little sister and flourishing under their mother’s attention.
Living in the wilderness and not having a set territory caused the little family to move often, which only helped to strengthen Aribella further. As she grew older, she and her brother began to notice their mother’s shunning of Abigail, and therefore began to mimic the older she-cat. After all, if their mother was ignoring Abigail, there might be something wrong with their sister or something, right? Surely their mother had a good reason, so it only made sense to do the same. Aribella was close to her mother, being the favored daughter and getting most of Lola’s pampering. So when Lola suddenly sent her kits away when they were six moons old, Ari was shocked. Lola declared that she had done her job raising them and it was time for them to live their own lives, since she had done her job and desired the life of a free cat again. Aribella was shocked, having absolutely no idea how to live on her own. She had always relied on her mother, and now her mother was gone! Aribella and Ty stayed low for a few days, denying Abigail any attention or the permission to stay with them until the she-cat finally went off on her own. Soon, Ari and Ty left as well, heading out to try and live on their own in the wilderness. It was tough, but they soon managed to figure out the basics, able to at least fend for themselves and kept themselves fed. Several months later, the two also parted ways, the pair both growing more independent and no longer needing each other’s company.
So Aribella was on her own in the wilderness. It was a tough life, not exactly having the sweet and manipulative personality of her mother that had made the older she-cat’s life easier. Ari was a bit snappier, not exactly having a sweet way with words that could bend cats to her will. So she had a fight a little harder, but she certainly didn’t struggle too much. Her personality was hardened even more, though, especially with her mother’s sudden leave, resulting in the independent and tough she-cat she is today. She has stayed in the wilderness, not exactly wandering out too far out of the comfort of her home. She heard only a little bit about her mother, who was making sure to avoid her children. She was hardly proud of them, and while Ari is still hurt by her mother’s coldness, she has grown up stronger because of it. Of course, she has also realized how horrible it was that her sister Abigail was ignored like this for her whole life, and deeply regrets her actions, though she certainly doesn’t have to courage to hunt her sister down and apologize.
