MARKINGS: White underbelly, chest, paws, chin and a strip going up his forehead. His left hindleg is mainly white.
PELT LENGTH: Semi-long, appears fluffy and is quite thick.

BUILD: Very muscular, broad in the shoulders.
OTHER: Dimitri's pelt is littered with scars. The worst ones are on his back-legs, flank and the back of his neck.

PERSONALITY:
Cold and harsh, Dimitri is as attractive as a stiff winter breeze is. This tom doesn't seem to understand the words 'compassion' or 'love' and the only time he seems to be anything other than a hardass is when he's around his mate. The rest of the time Dimitri is serious and just slightly condescending. The tom looks down on weakness and something he absolutely can't stand is homosexuality. To him it's unnatural and cats that like the same sex should be eliminated, as they weaken the species. If only he knew that his eldest son was gay.

HISTORY:

Marie and Kel met by chance one day in the city. Kel was still learning the ropes of keeping a firm paw on the bloody empire his father had created and he'd escaped for a moment of silence when he ran into this spunky young she-cat. A brief romance ensued and a few months later Marie found Kel and told him she was pregnant with his kits. Instead of sending her away Kel brought her into his family where she was protected fiercely until the kits were born. As soon as he was weened the first born, Fang, was taken away to be trained on how to fight. Fang never knew the gentle coo of his mother's voice or felt her warmth. The purpose of this, Kel would later tell Marie, would be to toughen the tom up so that when he was brought into the bloody war his grandfather had started he'd be prepared for it. Marie disagreed with this but wasn't allowed to see her son until he was a year old and by then the tom had all but forgotten his mother. All compassion and love had been drilled out of him, with one mantra drilled into his brain 'protect our females at all cost. The females are the lifeblood to the empire.' So Fang became the bodyguard to his two younger sisters and he was good at it. Many cats learned to fear the silent brown tom with brilliant lime colored eyes.

Marie gave birth to her second litter, which only consisted of a single tomcat, half a year after Fang and his siblings had been born. A few moons after Fang's youngest sibling was born there was a raid on Fang's family's home and Fang's mother and two sisters were killed in the fighting. Fang was devastated; while he hadn't grown up around his mother when he was a kit he'd grown close to her during his adulthood and the death of her as well as his sisters sent him into a rage. When his father offered for him to take the reins of the empire Fang agreed without a second thought. For two years the tom raged war on the family that killed his mother and sisters; and he was good at it. Scores of cats fell to his claws and it was on yet another raid that Fang met his future mate.

For some reason the tom couldn't bring himself to kill this small she-cat and when she pleaded with him to spare her brother's lives and to take hers instead he ceased the attack and told his father he couldn't fight anymore. He gave control over the empire to his younger brother, left the city and never returned.

Enter Dimitri. Fang's younger brother, much as Fang had himself, grew up without knowing the soft sound of his mother's voice or the comfort of her fur. And like Fang had been, Dimitri was taken and trained for moons until he was deemed capable of standing his own in a fight. Dimitri was taller and larger than his brother but he lacked the finesse that Fang had while ruling their empire. Instead, Dimitri ruled with brute force and as such earned many of the scars that litter his pelt. This didn't deter the tom however and when his father passed away he stepped into the role of overlord of their section of the city with relative ease.

All was going well until Dimitri ran into a tom-cat who his family had once feuded with. A sense of kinship formed and for a while the two toms were inseparable; in fact there was less bloodshed during the first few moons that Dimitri got to know Falcon. All of that was ruined when the she-cat both toms had fallen in love with choose Falcon over Dimitri. Grief stricken and hurt beyond comprehension Dimitri declared war on his former best friend and love. Shortly after Falcon and Becca became mates Dimitri claimed a she-cat named Victoria as his mate and though she wasn't Becca, this new she-cat was able to tame the anger and hurt that Dimitri had lived with for so long. She was the soft side of her otherwise hard mate.

For years this feud went on and Dimitri saw his first two litters fall to the claws on Falcon's family members. And though he would never admit it out loud Dimitri was happy when his mate and his former love came up with a plan to end the blood-feud. When his latest litter of sons and daughters were born Dimitri sent Augustus and his two brothers to Fang in the wilderness to train, just in case. His daughter he sent to learn the ways of diplomacy.

Dimitri expected to have a loyal and steady heir when the toms returned; and indeed it appeared that Augustus would become just that after the year and a half spent training with Fang. The young tom had grown taller, and filled out nicely and the stutter that had haunted him through the duration of his kit-hood was now gone. What wasn't there, Dimitri saw, was the will and the desire to fight. In fact, his eldest son showed no interest in running the empire Dimitri's father had created. Augustus even went as far to say that he would never raise a claw against another cat unless it was for self defense. Dimitri never forgave his son, and the two toms can barely be around each other without it ending in an argument.
