NAME: Hope GENDER: She-cat AGE: 2 years RESIDENCE: Country
APPEARANCE:
PELT COLOR: White MARKINGS: Dilute orange and gray calico markings PELT LENGTH: Short EYE COLOR: Light blue BUILD: Small and weak OTHER: Has feline leukemia
PERSONALITY:
Hope is an optimistic little girl, happily going through each day despite how badly she might feel. She understands that she is very sick and that she won’t get better, so she decides to enjoy life as much as she can. Of course, Hope still doesn’t realize that she wont be able to grow up to be an old cat, but she wont let that bit of information bring her down either. She simply wants to have the most fun she can in life, and often spends her time in her barn finding new games to play to take her mind off the cough she might have or the fever she may be running.
Hope is a friendly girl, incredibly accepting and caring to any outside cat. After all, friends just make life better, right? Briella doesn’t let her leave too often to go out and make these friends, but Hope doesn’t mind. She knows how stressed her mother can get while trying to provide for their family, and she tries her best to keep her mother’s own hope up, even if that means making a little fib about how she feels or what she wants to eat. Skinny field mice aren't yummy, but they're the easiest thing for Briella to find. Hope really is a sweet cat who has been dealt a bad hand at life, though she plays her cards the best she can. You will rarely ever see this kitten without a smile on her face or a purr in her throat. RELATIONSHIPS:
MOTHER: Briella – {calico she-cat with blue eyes; country} Silvery FATHER: Icarus SIBLINGS: --- CRUSH/MATE: --- OTHER: ---
HISTORY:
Hope was born from a fling between her mother and a street cat, Icarus. Briella simply wanted to have a litter of kittens, and no love was involved between the two. Only one little she-cat resulted from Briella’s pregnancy, and her mother loved her greatly. Briella soon noticed something wrong with her little daughter, though, the little girl developing a fever at four days old and then suffering a small seizure. Briella searched for the answer to her daughter’s problem, desperately asking any cat she came across to see if they knew what was wrong. Finally, an elderly she-cat seemed to know the answer. Leukemia, she said. An incurable disease that would kill her daughter before she reached three, if she was lucky enough to reach that age.
Briella simply refused to believe that her daughter would die, and named the little she-cat after the hope that she would live and thrive. Hope is doing all right now, better than she could be. She often feels a bit sick, though her seizures are scarcer now, only happening once every few weeks. She certainly is making the best of a bad situation, and doesn’t let her condition bring her down. Now only if she could help her mother to stop worrying quite so much.
