PERSONALITY:

Gruff and easily irritated, Icarus isn’t going to win a friendliest cat of the year award anytime soon. The tom takes after his father in personality so much so that his mother used to call him ‘little Xavier’. He’s withdrawn and quiet, not because he’s shy, but because most other cats simply tend to irritate him. Icarus is more intelligent than he lets on and enjoys hearing humans talk about books. He himself happens to be a bit of a bookworm, of course he can’t read, but when he visits the city he resides around bookstores and often sits and listens to humans read aloud. He’s gentle and kind once you get past the gruffness, but no matter how close you are, Icarus will always treasure his freedom and solitude.

HISTORY:

Xavier never stayed in one place too long, he was in the middle of moving homes again when he ran into who would later become his mate. Belle was your regular country gal and Xavier was smitten the moment he laid eyes on her. The she-cat got past Xavier’s gruff manner and found the heart underneath it all. Suffice it to say, Xavier didn’t end up leaving the country. A few months later, Belle was having their first litter in the shelter of their den in the country. Four strong, healthy kits, Xavier and Belle couldn’t have been happier. Belle let Xavier name them all and remembering what he’d heard about Greek mythology, he chose strong people to name his kits after.

The kits grew up in the blink of an eye and Xavier was thrilled to see bits of himself and their mother in their faces. Belle and Xavier lived in bliss with their four, fast growing kits.

Icarus took a shine to his father and always followed the tom around and imitated everything he did. He loved his parents and had a soft spot for his younger sister Rhea and would do anything for the she-cat. He cares about his two other brothers as well, but not as much as his Rea.

Soon, Icarus and his siblings were no longer kits anymore but instead were young adults ready to start their own lives and his parents had another litter of kits on the way. Icarus travelled with his sister Rhea for a few moons until they reached the city, where the parted ways. Icarus always stops by to check up on his litter sister and make sure she’s ok. She’s the tom’s only true friend and for her, he’d do anything. If anyone dared to lay a paw on her, he'd hunt them down and kill them without a second thought to his own safety.
